Great White Shark bites hardest

According to a new study, the white shark has the most deadly and frightening bite of any existing species. Researchers assessed that the bite force of its extinct cousin between 10.8 to 18.2 tones, the gigantic fossil species Carcharodon megalodon (Big Tooth) is the biggest of all time, creating it the most dangerous carnivore yet on earth.

The deadly shark may grow up to 16 meters in length and weighed up to 100 tones.

Fossil proof said that Big Tooth was a powerful killer of large whales and stopped its big prey by biting off their tail and flippers. A comparison of Tyrannosaurus rex with Big Tooth reveals that the great lizard has no similarity with the giant shark.

Scientists have discovered a lost world in Antarctica, which they claim is preserved exactly the same way when it was frozen some 14 million years ago.

Scientists have found fossils of plants and animals in the mountains on the interior of Antarctica, which it believes became extinct due to an abrupt climate cooling of 8 degree Celsius in 200,000 years.

In their study, the scientists have combined evidence from glaciers from the preserved ecology, volcanic ashes and modelling to reveal the full extent of the big freeze in part of the southernmost continent called the Dry Valleys.

According to scientists, the lost world is difficult to find in the continent.

Google launched free music service in China

Google Inc has launched a music search service in China that will give users access to free downloads of licenced songs, while capturing advertising revenue for music providers in a market rife with piracy.

Google said that its service would initially let Internet users search tens of thousands of Chinese songs by singer or song title on its website and download them from Top100.cn, a Chinese music website co-founded by basketball star Yao Ming.

Advertising revenue from the service will be shared among Top100.cn and its music partners.

The UN said that India, China and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region must boost public health spending by at least 2 per cent in order to reduce the number of children dying before their fifth birthday.

As per UN report, In 2006, 2.1 million children under five years died in India, one-fifth of the world’s total, and 4,15,000 died in China.

The major causes of child death are poor neonatal care, pneumonia, diarrhea and malnutrition.

Bush concerned about rights in China

George W Bush US President raised “deep concerns” about China’s detention of dissidents and respect for human rights on Thursday, as he prepared to head to Beijing for the Olympic Games.

Bush insisted that his criticism was not intended to “antagonise” China on the eve of the Games, and expressed optimism about the future of the world’s most populous nation.

Bush said, “The United States believes the people of China deserve the fundamental liberty that is the natural right of all human beings,”

Musharraf to visit China for Olympics

Pervez Musharraf Pakistan President has decided to go ahead with his plan to visit China to participate in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Earlier, Musharraf had cancelled his scheduled visit in the wake of reports that Pakistan’s ruling coalition could be finalising a move to impeach him.

Mohammad Sadiq Foreign Office spokesman said that Musharraf, who was due to fly to Beijing on Wednesday, had called off his visit, a day after sparring coalition allies Pakistan People’s Party and Nawaz Sharif’s PML(N) had crucial talks to discuss his fate.

Sarkozy said he will not meet Dalai Lama

Nicolas Sarkozy’s French President said that he will not meet with the Dalai Lama when the Tibetan spiritual leader visits France next week.

Sarkozy’s office said that the Dalai Lama did not ask to meet with the President during his 11-day visit to France.

Sarkozy threatened to boycott the opening of the Beijing Olympics because of China’s crackdown in Tibet earlier this year.

American singer songwriter Katy Perry revealed that her ultimate fantasy is all about dining with the queen of pop, Madonna.

Perry, 23, looks up to Madge for inspiration and admits that she is desperate to set up a meeting to discuss her budding music career.

Perry said, “I really wanna have a sit-down dinner with Madonna. I’m waiting for that invitation,”

“I wanna ask her how she’s made it through all of this and still continues.

She added, “If she would just give me a little advice - I really wanna pick her brain,”

Scientists discovers Hottest water on Earth

Scientists have discovered the hottest water on Earth, which is deep down at the very bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

According to Scientist, the water sits atop what could be a huge bubble of magma, at over 3 kilometers beneath the surface.

It is found by geochemist Andrea Koschinsky from Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany, the fluid is in a “supercritical” state that has never before been seen in nature, spewing out of two black smokers called “Two Boats” and “Sisters Peak”.
